When to turn a PDF into JPG
Images are easy to post in chats, add to slides or upload where PDF is not accepted. Converting a page to JPG also lets you crop it, mark it up or share a preview without sending the whole document.
Choosing the right resolution
Resolution is measured in DPI. 72 DPI gives a small file that looks fine on a phone. 150 DPI is sharp on most screens. 300 DPI keeps fine text and details for printing, but the files are much larger.
Frequently asked questions
How do I convert a PDF to JPG?
Choose your PDF on this page, select the pages you need and tap Convert. A single page downloads as a JPG, several pages download as a ZIP of JPG files.
Can I save only one page of a PDF as an image?
Yes. Tap the pages you want, or use Select none and tick just one page. You will get a single JPG file.
Which quality should I choose?
150 DPI is a good standard for screens and sharing. Use 300 DPI when you plan to print, and 72 DPI when you need small files.
Is my PDF uploaded to a server?
No. The pages are drawn in your browser, so your PDF stays on your device.
Why does it say my PDF is password protected?
Locked PDFs cannot be read here. Remove the password in the app where you opened the PDF, then add the file again.
Can I turn the JPG files back into a PDF?
Yes. Use our JPG to PDF tool, drag the images into the order you want and download one PDF.
Is there a page limit?
No fixed limit, but very long PDFs at 300 DPI need a lot of memory. If your browser slows down, convert fewer pages at a time or use a lower quality.
