How your files stay private

Most online PDF sites ask you to upload your file to their server. We do not. Here is how that works, and how you can check it yourself.

How it works

  1. You choose a file. It is opened by your browser, on your own phone or computer.
  2. Your browser does the work. The conversion code runs on your device, like a small app inside the page.
  3. You download the result. It is saved straight from your browser. Nothing travelled to a server and back.
  • No uploadYour file never leaves your device while you use a tool.
  • No copy on our sideWe have no storage for your files, so there is nothing to keep, leak or sell.
  • No sign-upNo account, no email, no phone number.
  • Short-lived draftIf you refresh by mistake we bring your work back from your own browser. It is deleted after 15 minutes, or about a minute after you download.

Do not just trust us: check it yourself

It takes one minute, and works on a computer:

  1. Open any tool, for example JPG to PDF.
  2. Press F12 (or right-click, then Inspect) and open the Network tab.
  3. Choose a photo and tap Convert.
  4. Look at the list: you will see the page's own files loading, but no request that carries your photo. Your file is not in any upload.

Your result is created inside the browser, which is why the tools work the same for a private document as for any other file.

Good habits for sensitive documents

  • Use a device and browser you trust, and close the tab when you are done.
  • On a shared computer, use "Remove all" or "Start fresh" before you leave, and download only to a folder you control.
  • Do not put passwords or private details in a file name you plan to share.

If we ever need a server

Some conversions, such as Word to PDF, cannot be done inside a browser. If we add such a tool, we will say so clearly on that tool's page before you choose a file, so you can decide. All the tools listed above work in your browser.
