Your files and text
When you choose a photo, a PDF or type text in one of our tools, the work is done by code running in your browser, on your phone or computer. The file is read by your browser, the result is created there, and you download it from there. Your file is not sent over the internet to us or to anyone else.
You can check this yourself: open your browser's developer tools, look at the Network tab while you convert a file, and you will see that no file is uploaded. We explain how in How your files stay private.
What is saved in your own browser
If you refresh the page by mistake, you should not lose your work. For that, a tool saves a draft in your own browser only (in a storage area called IndexedDB). It never leaves your device.
- The draft is removed automatically 15 minutes after your last change.
- After you tap Download, the saved draft is removed within about a minute.
- You can remove it at any time with "Remove all", "Clear" or "Start fresh", or by clearing your browser's site data.
- We also remember small choices on your device, such as Thumbnails or List view. They contain no personal information.
What we do receive
Like every website, our hosting provider (Cloudflare) receives basic technical information when you open a page: your IP address, the page you asked for, your browser type and the time. This is used to deliver the page, keep the site safe and prevent abuse. It does not include your files or your text.
Cookies, analytics and ads
Right now this site does not use tracking cookies, analytics or advertising, and it does not ask you to accept cookies. If we add visitor statistics or ads in the future, we will update this page first, say exactly what is collected and by whom, and change the date at the top.
Sharing and selling
We do not sell your data. We do not share your files or text, because we do not have them. We only share technical information if the law requires it.
Links to other websites
Some pages may link to other websites. We are not responsible for their privacy practices, so please read their policies.
Children
The tools do not ask for personal information, so children can use them without giving us any. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone.
Changes to this policy
If we change how things work, we will update this page and the "Last updated" date. We will never start collecting your files without clearly telling you first.
